Portuguese and Brazilian football are mourning after confirming the tragic death of the goalkeeper Jesson Merli, 27 years old, who died from drowning last Sábado in northern Portugal.
The news was confirmed this Domingo by the Caldelas Sports Group, a club of a Portuguese regional division where the goalkeeper militated and with which he had recently renewed a contract.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Merli was on vacation in Bouro Terrasa tourist area located in the National Park of Peneda-Gerês, about 30 kilometers from Braga.
