The Polish IGA Swiatek, winner of Grand Slam titles, defeated the Russian Liudmila Samsonova on Miércoles to first arrive at Wimbledon semifinals.

Swiatk wiped 6-2 and 7-5 on the world number 19, who disputed her first quarter-final duel of a Grand Slam on the grass of All England Club.

The former World Cup 1 will face Jueves in the semifinals to the winner of this Miércoles’s game between the Russian Mirra Andreeva (7th) and the Switzerland Belinda Bencic (35th).
