The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, spoke with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, said a Chinese state medium, in a context of strong commercial and diplomatic tensions between the two powers.

The commercial negotiations between the United States and China stagnated shortly after the agreement reached on Mayo 12 between the two countries to reduce their tariffs while the conversations were developed.

Behind the stagnation is the continuous competition for obtaining an economic advantage.

China accused the United States on Lunes of violating the 90 -day commercial truce agreed between the two largest economies in the world, after Trump claimed that it was Beijing who «totally violated» the agreement.
